For long-time visitors to Europa-Park as well as the Mack family, who own the park, it is hard to imagine life without the 40-year-old Ghost Castle. To coincide with Europa-Park's 50th anniversary, the attraction in the Italian village was to be modernised. While the basic ride layout and most of the decorations were retained, the former haunted castle was modernised with animatronics, storytelling and versatile technology.
