Conceptual artist Ottmar Hörl placed 100 golden stars on a green meadow next to the historic Balthasar Castle as a symbol of solidarity, responsibility and lived European values. The owner of Europa-Park, Dr.-Ing. h.c. Roland Mack, considers it a great honour that the internationally renowned artist has dedicated such an art installation to Europa-Park. 

Christian Wulff, former Federal President of Germany, and Günther Oettinger, former Minister President of Baden-Württemberg, are also enthusiastic about the important symbolism of the installation 'Europe – Garden of Stars'.
