Today, The Europa-Park Resort is known for its six 4* (superior) themed hotels with their attention to detail. Almost 30 years ago, however, the hotel business was new territory for the Mack family. When they built their first hotel, 'El Andaluz', they were looking for a hotel manager. Michaela Doll-Lämmer heard the news from hotelier Meinrad Schmiederer, who immediately suggested the position to her. So far, however, she had only been in 5* hotels and asked herself: a hotel in a theme park? Is that something for me? She quickly realised that this job had landed her in a very special world. Michaela Doll-Lämmer tells us how she started at Europa-Park in 1996 and how the resort has developed beyond recognition since then.
