Erich Willi was involved in the assembly of the first monorail for Europa-Park. From this point onwards, almost no new rollercoaster went into operation without his involvement.

Erich Willi is a trained welding specialist. When he was commissioned to build a monorail for the future Europa-Park almost 50 years ago, he had no idea that he would spend a large part of his life in this place.
Today, at the age of 80, he has built, commissioned, tested and maintained almost all of the rollercoasters. Nothing gives him more pleasure than hearing the guests cheer on the attractions.
In the fifth episode of the second season of 'The Europa-Park Story', Erich Willi and the Mack family look back on his career, the construction of Swiss Bob Run and Eurosat, and enjoy many funny anecdotes from earlier times of a very special family business.
